Critical Usage Requirements Heatsink Mandatory: The hot side must be attached to a high-quality heatsink (ideally with a fan) before power is applied. Operating without one for more than a few seconds can cause immediate overheating and permanent damage. Polarity: Reversing the red (+) and black (-) wires will swap which side is hot and which is cold. Identification: The side with the printed model number is generally the cold side
