74HCT14 is a hex inverter with input from the Schmitt-trigger. This system features reduced input threshold levels to allow TTL logic interfacing. Inputs often include clamp diodes, which enables the use of current limiting resistors for inputs of interfaces to voltages exceeding VCC.
