L293D IC Dual HBridge Motor Driver

The System is a monolithic integrated high-voltage, high-current four-channel driver designed to accept regular DTL or TTL logic and drive inductive loads (such as solenoid relays, DC and stepper motors) and switching control transistors. Each pair of channels is fitted with an allow input to simplify use as two bridges. For logic purposes, a separate supply input is provided, allowing for lower voltage operation and for the inclusion of internal clamp diodes. This system is ideal for use in switching applications with frequencies up to 5 kHz. The L293D is packaged in a 16-lead plastic box with 4 center pins linked together and used for heat sinking.
